marked read only issues
From the logs I can see "Unexpected error writing to media". This error can occur for the below reason.
1. Tape drive is not working properly.
2. Tape cartridge is too old or fautly.
3. Tape cartridge header is corrupted.
4. SCSI card is not working if is attached directly using scsi card.
By default netvault put the media in the read-only mode if there is any write failure to protect the earlier backed up data. This is design by default. Please let me know if you have further query.
